John has been an active member of the Professional Photographers of Canada, British Columbia Region (PPOC-BC), since 2010. Several of the images in John's portfolio have appeared in regional, provincial and national competitions. In 2010, “Famous Winds of South Africa” received a merit at a national level. In 2013, the PPOC-BC selected “Treemendous” and “Even Tide” to represent British Columbia in the national photographers’ competition. John was born and raised in British Columbia and has formed deep-rooted connections to the province, its landscapes and its people. He continues to add new images and technologies to his photographic portfolio, and he enjoys giving back to the community through his art sponsorship program.

When he’s not in his gallery or behind his camera, John enjoys fishing, boating, skiing and flying small aircraft.
